Three Concordians among National Order of Quebec appointees

Andrew Molson
Knight of the National Order of Quebec

Businessman, philanthropist and Concordia volunteer Andrew Molson was appointed for his accomplishments in business and for his support of education, arts and health.

Molson is chair of Avenir Global, the Molson Coors Brewing Company, and of RES PUBLICA Consulting Group, a Montreal-based holding and management company for leading professional service firms.

He sits on the board of many organizations, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Foundation, the Evenko Foundation for emerging talent in the arts, the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Molson Foundation.

A long-serving member of the Concordia University Foundation board of directors, Molson also co-chairs the Campaign for Concordia: Next-Gen Now, the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the university’s history.

He and his brother, Geoff, were previously appointed to the Order of Canada in December 2020.

Anne-Marie Hubert, LLD 15
Knight (chevalière) of the National Order of Quebec

Anne-Marie Hubert, LLD 15, serves as Canada East leader of EY. She was recognized by the Quebec government for her commitment to parity and inclusion in business, and for her expertise in corporate governance.

Hubert is the chair of the Canadian chapter of the Human Technology Foundation and serves on the board of directors of Montreal International, the Québec Artificial Intelligence Institute (MILA) and the Institute of Corporate Directors – Quebec Chapter.

She additionally co-chaired the 2020 Centraide of Greater Montreal campaign, which successfully raised more than $60 million in support of vulnerable populations in Montreal and beyond.

In 2015, Concordia recognized Hubert’s career and community contributions with an honorary degree from the university. She was also named to the Order of Canada in 2016.

Suzanne Sauvage
Officer of the National Order of Quebec

President and chief executive officer of the McCord Stewart Museum since 2010, Suzanne Sauvage was recognized for her exceptional contributions to the province's communications and cultural sectors.

After previously serving as president of Cossette, Sauvage honed her expertise to successfully merge Montreal’s Stewart and McCord museums. She is responsible for leading one of the most important historic collections in Quebec and Canada, which includes a reputable First Nations collection.

Sauvage has been an active member of various boards of directors including at the Orchestre Métropolitain, Compagnie Marie Chouinard, the Women's Y Foundation, and Montréal en lumière. She additionally serves as a member of Concordia’s Board of Governors.
